Police Services
The Town of Innisfail contracts the Royal Canadian Mounted Police [RCMP] to provide police services for its citizens. The Innisfail RCMP Detachment is committed to preserving the peace, upholding the law, and providing quality service in partnership with our community. Innisfail’s RCMP strives to promote safe communities and to provide the highest quality of service through dynamic leadership, education and technology. The detachment, which consists of 7 members, is located at 4904-45 Avenue and the phone number is 403-227-3342. Innisfail is also the headquarters for the force's national dog training centre and the area's Highway Patrol.

Ambulance Services
The Town of Innisfail contracts ambulance services through Guardian Ambulance. Local ambulance service as well as air ambulance service is available. The phone number of the base, which is at 4411-49 Street, is 403-227-5094. A STARS Helicopter landing site is located immediately across the street from the Innisfail Health Care Centre.

Fire Protection
Fire Dep'tInnisfail’s Fire Hall is located at 4955-53 Street. Innisfail is served by a volunteer fire department that consists of 24 volunteers and a part-time Fire Chief. Fire practices are scheduled for the 1st & 3rd Monday of each month. On the average, 150 emergency calls will be answered annually including grass fires, bush fires, structural fires and first responders to dangerous goods incidents, motor vehicle accidents and medical assists. The Fire department has 1 tanker truck, 3 pumpers, and an emergency rescue unit, plus a command vehicle. Call Fire Chief John Syroid with any questions at 227-5800.

Emergency Preparedness
The Town of Innisfail has in place a Municipal Emergency Plan. Call the Disaster Services Director, Special Constable Harry Beuker or Assistant Disaster Services Director Tim Ainscough at 227-3376 for more information.

Animal Control
The Town of Innisfail contracts Alberta Animal Services to enforce the Town’s animal control bylaws. Please call 347-2388 during regular business hours, with any questions or concerns, or email alexandre@albertaanimalservices.ca, or check out their web site. The website is designed to assist you with information, as well as checking on impounded animals.
