This agency provides children who need extra attention to
assist with their social development with opportunities to

Children are matched on a one to one basis with an approved

The Women’s Outreach Society is committed to providing
programs and services that support women and their families
who may be experiencing difficulties in meeting their basic
needs. Priority is given to families affected by poverty and/or

to help women who have chosen to pursue a safer, healthier

The Bureau takes donations of toys or money for low-income
individuals and families at Christmas. Unwrapped toys and
gifts can be dropped off. Location changes yearly. Food and
gift hampers are then distributed to underprivileged families
in the Innisfail and Spruce View area at Christmas. Volunteers

provides programs (preventative in nature) that strengthen

The Family Wellness Program is an easily accessed early intervention
program operating in the school and community to provide family
supports. It is family centered and needs driven, providing
someone to talk with who can assist in problem solving and
looking at issues from a different perspective. FWW offers
individual and group support, resource information, parenting
information, and if necessary, referrals to other appropriate
resources. In Innisfail, service is provided free of charge
to families with children 0-18. Workers may be accessed through

The Henday Association for Lifelong Learning is a nonprofit

The Meals On Wheels program is provided by a non-profit, charitable
organization. They meet every two months and provide the man-power
needed to order and deliver meals to people too ill or infirm
to make their own. This is a service that provides the freedom
for someone frail to remain in their home. Meals are provided
by the Innisfail Health Care Center and delivered by volunteer

Neighborhood Place is your community’s information and
referral support system. NP identifies community resources
and support systems, as well as identifying gaps in community
services and/or supports. Neighborhood Place connects with
as many service groups in central Alberta as possible in efforts
to service our community more effectively and meet the needs
of Innisfail’s individuals, children and families. Neighborhood

who is 55 years of age or over. Member’s spouses that

This program provided free of charge by the David Thompson
Health Region, provides seniors with valuable information
and support to live healthy and independent lives in the community.
Resource Clinics are offered in Innisfail the second Wednesday
of the month at 10:00 am at Poplar Grove Court. Clinics are
open to all seniors living in the community. They consist
of a wellness presentation addressing a variety of topics
such as fall prevention, heart health, medication use, etc.

be frightening and disruptive to daily life. Victim Advocates
are here to help. These volunteers are extensively trained
in areas such as: crisis intervention, trauma, court preparation
and accompaniment, bereavement, suicide awareness, home security,
personal safety, crime prevention and community programs.
