AADAC (Alberta Alcohol & Drug Abuse Commission - Innisfail Office)
AADAC offers free, confidential assessments and counseling services for individuals and their families who may be affected by alcohol, drugs, or gambling. Please contact the Red Deer AADAC office at (403) 340-5274 to schedule an appointment for the Innisfail office, which is located in the Dr. George/Kemp House at 5713-51 Avenue.

Big Brothers & Big Sisters
This agency provides children who need extra attention to assist with their social development with opportunities to develop friendships with adult mentors through various programs. Children are matched on a one to one basis with an approved adult mentor. Other programs include: summer and after school group activities, ‘Kids & Kops’, and a junior volunteer program. Central Alberta Diversity Association
CADA is a coalition of diverse groups and individuals in central Alberta who have come together to promote the positive value of diversity in general, and harmonious race relations in particular. Central Alberta Women’s Outreach Society (Innisfail Office)
The Women’s Outreach Society is committed to providing programs and services that support women and their families who may be experiencing difficulties in meeting their basic needs. Priority is given to families affected by poverty and/or abuse. Women’s Outreach offers a drop-in centre, referral services, individual and group support, programs, and education to help women who have chosen to pursue a safer, healthier and more secure life for themselves and their families. Christmas Bureau
The Bureau takes donations of toys or money for low-income individuals and families at Christmas. Unwrapped toys and gifts can be dropped off. Location changes yearly. Food and gift hampers are then distributed to underprivileged families in the Innisfail and Spruce View area at Christmas. Volunteers help to coordinate. Citizens On Patrol
Help keep Innisfail safe! Get involved and help to ensure our homes and community are safe. All business owners, community residents and youth are invited to become involved and membership is anonymous. For more information, contact the Innisfail RCMP detachment at (403) 227-3342.

C.N.I.B. Seniors Support Group
This group meets the third Wednesday of the month from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at the Innisfail Hospital Classroom in the basement. Share ideas, get information and support in managing vision loss and adaptability. Call Grace at (403) 227-1678 or Mary at (403) 227-2548 for more information.

Credit Counseling

Family & Community Support Services (FCSS)
FCSS is a partnership between the province of Alberta and the Town of Innisfail. This program promotes activities and provides programs (preventative in nature) that strengthen the family and the community. Family Wellness Workers
The Family Wellness Program is an easily accessed early intervention program operating in the school and community to provide family supports. It is family centered and needs driven, providing someone to talk with who can assist in problem solving and looking at issues from a different perspective. FWW offers individual and group support, resource information, parenting information, and if necessary, referrals to other appropriate resources. In Innisfail, service is provided free of charge to families with children 0-18. Workers may be accessed through any of the Innisfail schools. Call (403) 227-3576 for more information.

Food Bank
Call (403) 227-0600 and leave a message. Health Care card is required. Assistance no sooner than 6 weeks apart. Office hours are Tuesday afternoons from 1:30 – 3:30 pm.

Handi-Van
Innisfail's Handi-Van is wheelchair accessible and available at the following rates:
$ 3.00 each way, additional $1.00 for each extra stop.
$35.00 per trip to Red Deer, Sylvan Lake or Olds.
$ 0.45/km for other trips.

Henday Association For Lifelong Learning
The Henday Association for Lifelong Learning is a nonprofit organization whose mandate is to provide learning opportunities to adults in the County of Red Deer, especially to those individuals with special needs or barriers to learning.  Program funding is provided primarily by grants from Alberta Learning. Home Support
Home Support is part of Innisfail’s Family & Community Support Services (FCSS) program. Home Support staff provide house cleaning services to seniors and individuals that are unable to do cleaning on their own. Clients pay an hourly rate and are billed monthly. Innisfail Family Day Home Society
The Innisfail Family Day Home Society has been providing quality child care to Innisfail and area for over 20 years. Although their focus is child care for preschool children, they also offer a number of other services for children and families including a toy lending library and children's activity boxes. Meals On Wheels
The Meals On Wheels program is provided by a non-profit, charitable organization. They meet every two months and provide the man-power needed to order and deliver meals to people too ill or infirm to make their own. This is a service that provides the freedom for someone frail to remain in their home. Meals are provided by the Innisfail Health Care Center and delivered by volunteer drivers. Neighborhood Place

Neighborhood Place is your community’s information and referral support system. NP identifies community resources and support systems, as well as identifying gaps in community services and/or supports. Neighborhood Place connects with as many service groups in central Alberta as possible in efforts to service our community more effectively and meet the needs of Innisfail’s individuals, children and families. Neighborhood Place is located in the historical Dr. George/Kemp House at 5713 – 51 Avenue. Many other community support services are also available in this historical building such as FCSS, AADAC,FSWW, Child Welfare, Catholic Social Services, Family Day Home, Home Support, Healthy Families, Restorative Justice, as well as a variety of workshops. Restorative Justice Society
The Innisfail Restorative/Youth Justice Society, a community based victim offender justice system composed of volunteer facilitators that:

  • Offer victim/offender mediation sessions.
  • Educate offenders about the full human consequences of his/her actions.
  • Ensure offenders are held accountable for their crimes.
  • Give victims opportunities for involvement and giving input.

Senior’s Drop-In Center
The Innisfail Senior’s Drop-In Center is open to anyone who is 55 years of age or over. Member’s spouses that are not 55, are also welcome to join. The Drop-In Center features weekly activities such as musical entertainment & jam sessions, carpet bowling, crib, birthday parties, and other social activities. Senior’s Resource Program
This program provided free of charge by the David Thompson Health Region, provides seniors with valuable information and support to live healthy and independent lives in the community. Resource Clinics are offered in Innisfail the second Wednesday of the month at 10:00 am at Poplar Grove Court. Clinics are open to all seniors living in the community. They consist of a wellness presentation addressing a variety of topics such as fall prevention, heart health, medication use, etc. Watch for clinic advertisements in the local newspaper, or call Wendy at (403) 309-8198 or Barb at (403) 309-8197 for more information.

Victim Services
If you have become the victim of a crime or tragedy, it can be frightening and disruptive to daily life. Victim Advocates are here to help. These volunteers are extensively trained in areas such as: crisis intervention, trauma, court preparation and accompaniment, bereavement, suicide awareness, home security, personal safety, crime prevention and community programs.
